asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state, with reference to Dublin County Council houses in the Rathdown area, for each year from 1945: (a) the number of rent collectors employed (i) permanently, (ii) temporarily; (b) the number of houses and total rent charges for which each collector is responsible, and (c) the average arrears of rent; and, further, if he will state whether it is intended to appoint any additional permanent rent collectors in the near future.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin County Council Houses.
Mr. Brady
The information requested at (a), (b) and (c) of the Deputy's question is in the form of a tabular statement which I propose, with your permission, a Chinn Chomhairle, to circulate with the Official Report.
In regard to the last part of the Deputy's question, the appointment of additional permanent rent collectors is a matter for the local authority in the first instance. No proposals in this connection have been submitted to my Department.
Following is the tabular statement:—
