Data relating to the wages and salaries and the total trading profit of the larger State concerns have been extracted for recent years. The contribution to gross national product at factor cost of 21 large State concerns in each of the years 1960 to 1964 is estimated as:

The concerns included are Bord na Móna, Electricity Supply Board, Cómhlucht Siúicre Éireann, Ceimicí Teoranta, Aer Lingus, Aer Línte, Aer Rianta, Córas Iompair Éireann, Irish Shipping, Radio Éireann, Central Bank, Agricultural Credit Corporation, Industrial Credit Co., Irish Life Assurance Co., Hospitals' Trust Board, Shannon Free Airport Development Co., Córas Tráchtála, Bord Fáilte, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies, Institute for Industrial Research and Standards and Foras Talúntais.
As regards (2) of the Deputy's question it is believed that, approximately, the contribution to gross national product at factor cost of all such State concerns lies between 8 and 8½ per cent.
