The total number of apprentices who completed AnCO 1st year off-the-job courses in 1978-1979 was 1,654. Of this total figure 336 were fitter apprentices, 182 electrical apprentices, 123 brick/stonelaying apprentices and 263 were carpentry/joinery apprentices.
The total number of apprentices currently attending first year off-the-job courses (1979-1980) is 1,950 of which 401 are fitter apprentices, 296 electrical apprentices, 122 brick/stonelaying apprentices and 307 are carpentry/joinery apprentices.
