Any delay in this case was due to the unprecedented number of housing grant applications being dealt with in my Department. The grants for house improvements and the installation of sewerage facilities will be paid shortly.

The grant in this case was paid on 16 June, 1980. Any delay has been due to the unprecedented number of housing grant applications at present with my Department.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a home improvement grant, applied for on 23 January 1980 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Dublin, in view of the fact that the work has been completed for over a month.
The grant will be paid in this case when the necessary inspection has been carried out and my Department's inspector has certified that payment is in order. The inspection will be arranged as soon as possible.
