: I hope to be in a position to put proposals in regard to pensions to the Government shortly. These proposals will, as provided in the proposed Second National Understanding for Economic and Social Development, be in the form of a draft White Paper setting out a new National Pension Plan for employed persons and the self-employed. It is expected that the White Paper will be ready for publication in the first quarter of 1981.
