: A consultative document was issued in February last to all interested organisations and individuals in the bakery industry who were asked to furnish their views on the options posed in the document regarding the operation of the Act. I am now considering these views and consultations are being arranged with the Irish Congress of Trade Unions and the Federated Union of Employers. Following these consultations, I will put proposals to the Government to amend the Nightwork (Bakeries) Act.
