81 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for the Environment if he will remove the conditions which are preventing Bord na Móna from participating in the Local Government (Transfer of Service) Scheme, 1984, in order that pensioners can avail of a transfer of service from Bord na Móna to supplement their local authority pensions. Every organisation seeking to participate in the Local Government (Transfer of Service) Scheme, 1984 must comply with the conditions of the scheme. While Bord na Móna has not, to date, sought to participate in the scheme, I understand that the company is giving consideration to the question of participation.
