780 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade if he will give details of any financial settlements or extraordinary severance arrangements entered into with civil servants in his Department or with public servants in State agencies under the aegis of his Department. [15870/96]
Voluntary early retirement schemes were introduced in An Bord Tráchtála and Bord Fáilte Éireann in 1995. Under the schemes, staff who volunteered for early retirement were granted up to seven years' added service in calculating their retirement lump sums and pensions. In An Bord Tráchtála, the scheme is still available for a limited number of staff up to 31 December next.
