146. Deputy Matt Carthy asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Defence if he is aware of any personnel not discharged from the Defence Forces operating as private military contractors in Libya; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21339/24]
Amharc ar fhreagraWhen the Defence Forces uncovered allegations that individuals may have engaged in training activities in Libya while still serving in the Defence Forces, the Military Police opened an investigation, which is being conducted in close coordination with An Garda Síochána.
While that investigation is ongoing, it is inappropriate for me to comment further at this time.
