373. Deputy Sorca Clarke asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage the number of WTE qualified archaeologists by grade employed by his Department in the years 2022, 2023 and to-date in 2024, in tabular form. [21411/24]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department does not generally keep a record of qualifications held by staff members, and accordingly there may be staff working in various roles who have a qualification in Archaeology but applied for different positions. However, at the end of March 2024 we had 41.73 WTE staff employed in my Department in roles where a qualification in archaeology is a requirement. There were 38.33 and 40.73 WTE staff employed in such roles at the end of 2022 and 2023 respectively.
A breakdown of these numbers by grade is provided in the table below.
